Dr. Tara Devi Sen is in teaching profession from last 11 years. Currently she is working as Assistant Professor of Botany at SVPC University, Mandi. Earlier she worked as facilitator in Mid Himalayan Watershed Management Project. Her area of research is Ethnobotany and Biodiversity conservation with special focus on Wild Food Plants. She is author of 4 books, has contributed 2 chapters to books on Nutrition and Tourism, has presented 15 papers in national or international conferences and has published 14 research papers and many popular articles about wild edible plants in local newspapers, She is also reviewer of 3 International Journal and currently working on a HP DEST awarded research project on Wild Edibles of Mandi area..

Dr. Sen has received honour from Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Minister of HP Shri Virender Kanwar & DIG Mandi for her extension work during COVID-19 and awarded Special Jury Mention in Indian Biodiversity Award 2021 by NBA India.
