He is an Electrical Engineer by Profession, passed his B E Electrical from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology Patiala in 1981. During his service, he served in HPPWD, HPSEBL and BBMB in different Stations in H P. He received Gold Medal as appreciation from Chairman BBMB.

After his Superannuation, he Joined as Member in Rotary club of Mandi in July,2015. He remained as Secretary from 2017 to 18 and President from 2019 to 20 of Rotary club of Mandi. He became Assistant Governor RI District 3070 in from 2020 to 21 and nowadays has been given the Assignment as Chairman Solar and Renewable Energy RI in Rotary District 3070 during this year 2021-22, under the Dynamic Leadership of Rtn Dr U S Ghai District Governor.
